The Perfect Lamp

I bought this lamp,

Best one around.
One of a kind,
It's even brown.

Searched the house

For the perfect place,

By my bed

And the bookcase.

Tried the desk

And tried the table.

Tried everywhere,

But wasn't able

To find a spot.

Fit it didn't,

So I took it back

And bought a kitten.
